I love you so much. It doesn\u2019t look like we are going to make it. Tell Rachey I love her.\u201d<\/em> Moments later, another message captured his wife Tanya screaming: <em>\u201cWe\u2019re dying, we\u2019re dying!\u201d<\/em> It was the last anyone heard from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The couple was inside their Airstream trailer when the Guadalupe River overflowed. An emergency alert arrived too late \u2014 Jeff had already begun recording his goodbyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even then, Jeff warned Tanya\u2019s family in a nearby cabin, saving their lives. <em>\u201cHe rescued them because they would have slept in and they would have washed away,\u201d<\/em> Jake said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tanya\u2019s body was found; Jeff is still missing. Their dog Chloe survived.
