While her husband was away at boot camp, Savannah gave birth at 29 weeks to Kennadi Rue and Mckenli Ackerman on May 12, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Premature, But Resilient<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The girls were born two months early and spent several weeks in the NICU before going home. Savannah explained they are \u201cmono-di twins,\u201d meaning they had their own sacs but shared one placenta\u2014already rare, and even more so with both having Down syndrome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMo-di twins as it is\u2014it\u2019s very rare. Then you throw Down syndrome on top of it, and it\u2019s like one in 2 million.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Just Like Any Other Kids<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Savannah emphasizes her daughters\u2019 potential. \u201cThey have feelings. They have a beating heart&#8230; They know how to do things you do.
