Several others were injured, including an NFL employee in critical condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Suicide Note<\/strong><br>Authorities found a multi-page suicide note where Tamura expressed anger at the NFL, blaming football-related brain disease CTE. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The note said, \u201cTerry Long football gave me CTE, and it caused me to drink a gallon of antifreeze.\u201d He also wrote, \u201cCTE chronic traumatic encephalopathy. Study my brain please I\u2019m sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Remembering Officer Islam<\/strong><br>Officer Islam was praised as a hero. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said, \u201cHe was doing the job that we asked him to do. He made the ultimate sacrifice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201d Mayor Eric Adams added, \u201cHe was a person of faith\u2026 He embodies what this city is all about.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Background and Investigation<\/strong><br>Tamura had a history of mental illness and drove over 2,500 miles from Las Vegas to New York before the attack. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He once excelled in high school football but struggled later.
