Authorities responded to a 9:18 a.m. call and found her unresponsive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt this time, detectives have found no evidence suggesting that her death was caused by anything other than natural causes,\u201d Alexandria police stated. The cause of death is pending a final report from the medical examiner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Career in Public Service<\/strong><br>Aber served as U.S. Attorney from 2021 to 2025, overseeing major cases including CIA leaks and fraud involving Russian nationals. A William &amp; Mary Law School graduate, she joined the Justice Department in 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tributes and Legacy<\/strong><br>\u201cShe is simply irreplaceable as a human being,\u201d said her successor Erik Siebert.
