The controversy began on April 6, 2025, when Schlossberg announced on X (formerly Twitter), \u201cI\u2019m having a son!!\u201d calling it the happiest day of his life and noting the child would be born out of wedlock. On Instagram, he added, \u201cWe named Jason Schlossberg! 5 pounds, 0 ounces. April 6, 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The situation escalated when he posted a Photoshopped image of Usha Vance holding a baby with his own adult face partially over the child\u2019s head, captioned, \u201cLittle Jason and his mom. You never feel prepared to have children. Until you become one one day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People magazine highlighted the image, prompting Schlossberg to repost it with the caption, \u201cThe joke is that I\u2019m capable of producing a male heir.\u201d Critics on social media called him \u201can embarrassment\u201d and urged him to delete the posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This wasn\u2019t his first provocative reference to the Vance family. In January 2025, he tweeted, \u201cTrue or false: Usha Vance is way hotter than Jackie O,\u201d referencing his grandmother Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. The next day, he added, \u201cI\u2019m a literal pervert\u2026 This child will stop at nothing to get attention.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to MSNBC\u2019s Jen Psaki, Schlossberg admitted his online antics are deliberate, aimed at provoking reactions. \u201cIt\u2019s hard to make an impression on the internet\u2026 flipping people out is half the fight,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
