Despite the diagnosis, her family said she was stable and being closely monitored in the NICU at Nationwide Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Unthinkable Accident<\/strong><br>While Ellieana\u2019s parents briefly left to shower, tragedy struck. \u201cThey were told their nurse had kept the baby\u2019s monitor cords in her pocket and when she went to walk away, the baby was then dragged from her NICU crib,\u201d wrote family friend Stella Dunlap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-main.newsner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2025\/06\/10061750\/pray1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-171203\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Heartbreaking Goodbye<\/strong><br>Ellieana suffered a fractured skull and brain bleeds. The coroner ruled her fall accidental.
