The open-plan restroom aims to make students \u201cfeel more comfortable,\u201d but critics argue it could lead to bullying and emotional harm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alecia Vaught, a CHS grandmother, said, \u201cCould you imagine just starting your period and not being able to get what you need?\u201d She called the setup a \u201ccomplete invasion of privacy for our girls.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The school defends the design, saying it features private floor-to-ceiling stalls. \u201cBathrooms are one of the highest anxiety areas for students,\u201d said architect Josh Bower. The school\u2019s policy supports access based on gender identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Online, reactions ranged from outrage\u2014\u201cThis is ridiculous, unsafe, and just wrong\u201d\u2014to comparisons with home bathrooms.
