Kavanaugh joined in the decision, which overturned a lower court ruling that had blocked the freeze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Concerns Over Repeated Defiance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gorsuch noted this was \u201cthe third time in a matter of weeks\u201d the Court had to step in because lower courts disregarded its precedents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He emphasized that when the Supreme Court rules, \u201cit constitutes a precedent that commands respect in lower courts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Criticism from Liberal Justices<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not all justices agreed with the majority\u2019s approach.
