A statement released by his son noted that the star died in the \u2018early hours of Wednesday (October 8) morning surrounded by his loved ones.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The devastated son added: \u201cFor those that knew him, he lit up a room wherever he went and everyone instantly fell in love with him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fans of the show rushed to pay their respects in the comments, offering condolences to his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The singer appeared on the 2020 series of the talent show, and was known for famously blowing Simon Cowell away in his first audition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dave Betton, 82, was joined on stage alongside his son, Dean, and received a standing ovation for their rendition of Frank Sinatra\u2019s \u2018That\u2019s Life.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
