Both of our cars had special permit tags indicating they were part of a government program for classic and specialty vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Illegally towing them carries heavy penalties\u2014up to $25,000. And since she had reported the cars, she was now liable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The towing company realized their error quickly and unhooked the vehicles on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The color drained from her face as she realized what she\u2019d done. Her confident demeanor vanished, replaced by shock and embarrassment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
