{"id":7701,"date":"2025-10-23T23:43:32","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T23:43:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/horizonvibe.com\/?p=7701"},"modified":"2025-10-23T23:43:39","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T23:43:39","slug":"cheerleader-di-es-after-being-sh-ot-at-high","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/horizonvibe.com\/?p=7701","title":{"rendered":"Cheerleader di .es after being sh\/ ot at high"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Remembering Kimber Mills: A Life of Kindness and Courage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eighteen-year-old <strong>Kimber Mills<\/strong> dreamed of becoming a nurse and spreading kindness wherever she went. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A senior at Cleveland High School, she was a <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>cheerleader, track runner, and, as her sister <strong>Ashley Mills<\/strong> said, \u201cwarm, friendly, and full of life \u2014 with a little spunk to her step.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>October 18<\/strong>, Kimber joined friends at a bonfire in Pinson, Alabama. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the <strong>Jefferson County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/strong>, 27-year-old<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Steven Tyler Whitehead<\/strong> arrived after midnight and opened fire during an argument, injuring several and fatally wounding Kimber. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was arrested and charged with attempted murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kimber passed away on <strong>October 21<\/strong> after being taken off life support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Her family described her hospital honor walk as \u201cthe largest the doctor had ever seen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A registered organ donor, Kimber gave others the gift of life \u2014 her final act of compassion. \u201cThat\u2019s what she wanted,\u201d Ashley said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Remembering Kimber Mills: A Life of Kindness and Courage Eighteen-year-old Kimber Mills dreamed of becoming a nurse and spreading kindness wherever she went.
