A passenger who flew on the same Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner just hours before it crashed claimed the aircraft had multiple malfunctions. Akash Vatsa, who traveled from Delhi to Ahmedabad, recorded videos showing non-functional air conditioning, seat-back screens, call buttons, and cabin lights. He posted the footage on social media, questioning the airline’s maintenance standards. The same plane later crashed after takeoff from Ahmedabad, killing 241 of the 242 people on board.
The sole survivor, British national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, described a terrifying final moments before impact, with lights flickering and the plane seeming to stall mid-air. He escaped from seat 11A, calling it a “miracle.” Air India has yet to comment on Vatsa’s claims or the possible connection between the malfunctions and the crash. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the disaster.
