Michael J. Fox received a lifetime achievement award at the Spring Moving Image Awards in New York, honoring his film career.

The Back to the Future star attended with his wife, Tracy Pollan, and their twin daughters.

Living With Parkinson’s

Diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s at age 29, Fox described the disease as a “gift that keeps on taking.”

He told CBS Sunday Morning, “Having Parkinson’s stinks… Every day you struggle more and more, but that’s just the way things are.”

Facing Reality With Optimism

Fox shared the toll of the illness, saying, “You don’t die from Parkinson’s, you die with (the ailment)…

I won’t live to be eighty.” Still, he emphasized resilience, noting optimism is “sustainable when practiced with gratitude.”

Advocacy and Impact

He founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2000, raising over $1.75 billion. On new research, he said, “This changes everything.”
