Dalai Lama speaks out after his name appears

Recently released documents related to Jeffrey Epstein include more than 150 mentions of the Dalai Lama, prompting public scrutiny.

The files, released by the U.S. Department of Justice between December 2025 and January 2026, contain repeated references to his name but no evidence of direct contact or meetings.

Some emails discuss events where the Dalai Lama was allegedly expected to attend, including one noting attendance

“on the island” and another stating, “Going now to the event with the Dalai Lama.” However, none confirm an actual interaction.

Other messages reference possible gatherings involving public figures such as Woody Allen and Noam Chomsky, but no records show these events occurred.

Representatives for the Dalai Lama firmly denied any connection, stating he has never met Epstein or authorized any meeting.

Observers note that Epstein often mentioned prominent individuals in correspondence without their knowledge,

and experts caution that email references alone do not imply involvement or wrongdoing.
