On December 4, 2025, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to three morning fires in Woodland Hills, Boyle Heights, and Granada Hills.
The first call involved a high-rise electrical room fire in Woodland Hills. Firefighters found smoke, but “no active flames were visible.”

Three workers with burn injuries were hospitalized. Crews ventilated the building and worked with the Los Angeles
Department of Water and Power and the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety to ensure safety.
Thirty minutes later, a commercial fire in Boyle Heights presented heavy flames and hazardous conditions.
Due to risks, crews used a “defensive strategy,” attacking the fire from outside. About 90 firefighters responded, and no civilians were hurt.
The third fire occurred on a rooftop at a construction site at John F. Kennedy High School. Students were evacuated,
and although some experienced smoke exposure, “no one required transport to a hospital.” The blaze was controlled in 26 minutes.
