Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is once again in the spotlight after pushing back against a lawsuit from Democratic lawmakers seeking access to a controversial holding site unofficially dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz.”
The facility, located in a remote swamp region of the state, has been used to temporarily house individuals awaiting immigration processing.
But concerns over transparency and human rights led to recent legal action demanding entry for Democratic representatives and watchdog organizations.
