Kirstie Alley’s Career
Kirstie Alley, known for Cheers and Look Who’s Talking, rose to fame in the 1980s. She first appeared in Star Trek II and later replaced Shelley Long on Cheers, winning both an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her role as Rebecca Howell.

Life Beyond Acting
Outside acting, she wrote about her weight struggles, created a reality show, and competed on Dancing with the Stars, losing nearly 100 pounds.

Family and Passing
Alley had two adopted children with ex-husband Parker Stevenson. After her 2022 death from cancer, her kids said: “Our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered.”

Bond with John Travolta
John Travolta, her co-star, wrote: “Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I’ve ever had.” Alley once said, “I almost ran off and married John… John and I would have devoured each other.”
