20-year-old girl suffered ca.rdiac arrest and or.gan failure after drinking this drink
Fitness Enthusiast Collapses After Energy Drink
On a regular day, 20-year-old Jazmin Garza suddenly collapsed after drinking an energy drink before a workout.
Her boyfriend performed CPR when her “heart and breathing had stopped.”
Paramedics revived her, but her heart stopped several more times in the ambulance, once for five minutes.
Life on the Edge
Jazmin was placed on life support. “Only a miracle could bring her back,” doctors told her family.
Machines took over her breathing, kidney function, and heart rhythm, but tests failed to identify a clear cause.
The Possible Trigger
Before the collapse, Jazmin had consumed an energy drink with 200mg of caffeine—unusual for her.
“I started to feel pale and dizzy,” she said, and then blacked out.
Doctors suspect caffeine may have triggered an undiagnosed heart issue.
A Wake-Up Call
Though she recovered, the experience left her and her boyfriend jobless and in debt.
She now warns others to “listen to your body” and be cautious with caffeine.
