Three Bodies Found, One Still Missing After B.C. Mudslide
The bodies of three men have been recovered near Lillooet, B.C., after a mudslide on Highway 99, according to RCMP.

A fourth man remains missing despite extensive search efforts.

Search Efforts and First Fatality
On Wednesday, one body was recovered, and two more were found Thursday, said B.C.

Chief Coroner Lisa Lapointe. Earlier in the week, “the body of a woman was recovered,” marking the first confirmed death from the flooding and landslides caused by extreme rainfall.

Search Ends, Challenges Persist
Lapointe confirmed, “all search avenues have been exhausted,” but discussions continue on next steps.

RCMP noted weather and site conditions hindered the search.

Condolences and Community Impact
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families,” Lapointe said.

“This has been an incredibly challenging year for all of us in B.C.”
