Abuse and Its Aftermath
Kelley alleges her stepfather, D.R. Roach, molested her as a child. “My story is so messed up,” she said. Roach was arrested in 2007 for attempted aggravated sexual battery. Kelley reflected, “So is my mom rich? Yeah… She was never a mother.”
Legal Troubles and Rock Bottom
Battling addiction and mental health issues, Kelley was arrested multiple times between 2023 and 2024. A turning point came after an October 2024 drug-fueled incident in Virginia, leading to six weeks in jail to detox.
Faith and Renewal
Now sober, Kelley was baptized earlier this year. “Ever since I gave my life to God — oh, man, it’s just beautiful. I love it here,” she said of finding stability in Charlottesville.
