Trey Gowdy Announces Significant Career Move
Trey Gowdy Debuts Fiction Thriller
Former prosecutor and Fox News host Trey Gowdy is releasing his first novel, The Color of Death, on August 26. “I lived it,” Gowdy said.
“I lived it for almost two decades.”
This marks both Gowdy’s debut in fiction and FOX News Books’ first fiction release.
Inside the Story
Co-written with bestselling author Christopher Greyson, the novel follows Assistant District Attorney Colm Truesdale as he investigates a salon owner’s murder.
From a missing appointment page to a burned crime scene, the case entangles a powerful judge’s family.
“Yes, it’s a whodunit,” Gowdy said. “But it’s also about the psychology of what death does to people.”
Gowdy’s Legal Edge
Before Congress, Gowdy served nearly 20 years as a prosecutor, trying almost 100 cases.
“I want readers to feel in the driver’s seat with me—from the moment a murder happens until the verdict is delivered,” he said.
