Melania Trump Launches AI Challenge
First Lady Melania Trump announced the Presidential AI Challenge, a nationwide contest for K–12 students to use artificial intelligence to solve community problems.
She urged students to tackle issues like school resources and environmental concerns.
Leading in the Age of AI
“Just as America once led the world into the skies, we are poised to lead again, this time in the age of AI,”
she said in a video post on X.
Calling it “the first step in preparing our next generation,” Melania added.
“I have seen firsthand the promise of this powerful technology.”
Presidential Backing
The initiative follows an executive order promoting AI education. President Trump praised her efforts:
“It’s going to be a very good challenge.
She put her heart into it.”
How It Works
Registration is open until Jan. 20, 2026.
Winners will compete regionally before a White House showcase in June 2026.
National champions earn $10,000 plus prizes.
