McComb Mourns Sgt. Jason Blake

The city of McComb, Mississippi, is grieving the loss of Sgt. Jason Blake,

a five-year veteran of the police force, who was ki**ed off duty while responding to a domestic violence call.

The Deadly Encounter

Authorities say suspect Clay Paulk forced his way into a home near Mississippi 44 and Cole Thomas Road,

shooting Blake and Nicki Wilson, a woman he had a prior relationship with.

Wilson survived; Blake and Paulk were pronounced dead at the scene,

with Paulk believed to have died from a self-inflicted wound.

A Wife’s Tribute

Blake’s wife, Rhea, wrote: “My husband was ki**ed yesterday helping someone in a domestic violence situation…

He considered it the highest of honors to lay down his life for others.”

She remembered his kindness, from rescuing animals to fixing strangers’ cars.

A Legacy of Service

With 21 years in law enforcement, Blake is remembered as a brave, selfless officer who always put others first.
