Humble Beginnings

Eve Meyer, born Evelyn Turner on December 13, 1928, in Georgia, overcame a tough childhood marked by her parents’ separation.

A “natural tomboy,” she was athletic and driven, eventually graduating high school with honors.

Rise to Fame

Her modeling career soared in the 1950s, leading to her being named “Playmate of the Month” in Playboy (June 1955).

She soon met photographer Russ Meyer, whom she married in 1952, and entered film.

On Screen and Behind the Scenes

Eve starred in and helped produce several of Russ Meyer’s iconic films, including Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! and Beyond the Valley of the Dolls.

She was a key creative force, helping shape “visual style, pacing, and thematic direction.”
