Footage captured a terrifying moment when flames burst from a Condor Boeing 757 engine shortly after takeoff from Corfu en route to Düsseldorf.
“The aircraft had already climbed to 36,000 feet when the turbine airflow was suddenly disrupted,” reported German broadcaster WDR.
Panic and Protocol
Passengers felt the plane shudder as fire flickered outside.
Despite visible smoke, the crew stayed calm, following emergency procedures while pilots assessed the situation.
Emergency Landing in Italy
Recognizing the danger, the flight was diverted to Brindisi Airport in southern Italy.

The aircraft touched down safely, and all onboard disembarked unharmed.
