Linda Evans, born Linda Evenstad in 1942, grew up shy but destined for the spotlight.

A high school drama class led to her first roles, and by the 1960s she starred in The Big Valley.

She recalled, “It was an ‘old world time’ that I thought was quite beautiful and I was thrilled to be a part of it.”

Dynasty Fame

Her career peaked in the 1980s with Dynasty, where she played Krystle Carrington opposite Joan Collins.

Their rivalry created some of TV’s most iconic moments.

Evans said, “We were very fortunate with Dynasty, we had an exceptionally good cast.”

She won a Golden Globe and became one of television’s most beloved stars.

Personal Struggles

Behind the glamour, Evans endured heartbreak, painful health issues, and family cancer battles.

“After Dynasty, I sort of retired again… things come to me,” she explained of stepping away from Hollywood.

Now 82, Evans lives quietly in Washington. She seeks peace over fame, proving resilience beyond the spotlight.
