Trump Confirms Arrest in Charlie Kirk Assassination Case
President Donald Trump announced that authorities believe they have arrested the suspect in the killing of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
Speaking to Fox News, he declared: “I think we have him.
I think with a high degree of certainty we have him in custody. He’s in custody.”
Trump suggested the capture came from within the suspect’s inner circle: “Someone that was very close to him turned him in.
A minister, father, helped in his capture.”
Calling Kirk “like a son,” Trump praised his brilliance and activism, while demanding justice:
“I hope he gets the death penalty for what he did.”
The FBI, Secret Service, and local police led the investigation, though the suspect’s identity has not been released.
The arrest marks a turning point in a case that has shaken U.S. politics,
with Kirk’s death leaving what Trump described as an irreplaceable void in the conservative movement.
