TV show makes Elon Musk so

Elon Musk Urges Netflix Cancellation Over Children’s Show

Calls to Cancel

Elon Musk has urged people to cancel their Netflix subscriptions over the animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park.

The show, which aired in 2022 and ran for two seasons, has a 100% critic score and 73% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Musk shared posts on X (formerly Twitter), telling a user who canceled, “Same,” and advising parents to “cancel Netflix for the health of your kids.”

Controversial Content

The backlash stems from a scene in which the protagonist, Barney Guttman, declares he is transgender.

Some groups, including Gays Against Groomers and Libs of TikTok, argue that the TV-Y7 rated show is inappropriate for children.

Musk’s Broader Criticism

Musk’s stance reflects his ongoing public criticism of the trans community.

He has previously commented on his estranged daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson’s transition, calling it a factor in their strained relationship.

Netflix’s History and Response

Netflix has faced past boycotts, including for Dave Chappelle’s specials.

Co-CEO Ted Sarandos has defended the company’s commitment to artistic freedom, saying it cannot please everyone.
