Brave little girl wheeled down the aisle

A Young Girl’s Wish

Emma Edwards, aged 10, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and her parents, Alina and Aaron,

were heartbroken when doctors said there was nothing more they could do.

Determined to fulfill her wishes, they helped make her dream come true.

A Unique Wedding

Unlike typical Make-A-Wish requests, Emma wanted to marry her 10-year-old boyfriend,

DJ. Her mother explained, “Most kids want to go to Disneyland, but Emma wanted to get married, be a wife, and have three kids.”

Their first school attempt was blocked, but with parental support,

Emma and DJ’s special day was arranged in less than two days.

The Celebration

Emma arrived in a wheelchair, wearing a purple dress,

and exchanged rings and vows with DJ. Her father escorted her down the aisle.

DJ said, “I thought she was the most beautiful person I ever saw.

Ever since I loved her.”

A Lasting Legacy

Emma passed away on July 11, 2023. Her obituary called her “a light to all who loved her and an inspiration to all she met.”
