Putnam County, FL – Juvenile Arrest

12-Year-Old Arrested for Written Threats at Palatka School

A 12-year-old student at Palatka Junior-Senior High School

was arrested after deputies found a notebook containing written threats to kill classmates,

the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Deputies said the notebook, discovered in a girl’s bathroom,

listed students by name and included a statement identifying it as belonging to Isabella Galvin, 12.

When questioned, Galvin allegedly admitted ownership of the notebook.

She was charged with making a written threat to kill, a second-degree felony,

and transferred to a Department of Juvenile Justice facility.

Authorities said her name was released because the charge would be a felony if committed by an adult.

School officials confirmed that parents of all named students were notified.

Deputies assured families that “there is no ongoing threat to the school community.”
