Ashley Biden Shares Hospital Update on Father’s Cancer Treatment
Former President Joe Biden, 82,
has completed a round of radiation therapy for an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer,
his daughter Ashley Biden confirmed in a hospital update.
Biden was diagnosed earlier this year after doctors discovered a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5)
tumor with metastasis to the bone. His team said the cancer is “hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.”
A spokesperson recently shared that Biden is undergoing
radiation and hormone therapy as part of his treatment plan.
In a video posted to Instagram, Ashley showed her father ringing the bell at Penn Medicine Radiation Oncology,
marking the end of a treatment round. “Rung the Bell!
Thank you to the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff… We are so grateful!” she wrote.
“Dad has been so damn brave throughout his treatment,”
Ashley added. Biden himself said, “The prognosis is good… I feel good.”
