Teen Sentenced to Life for Deadly Shooting After Football Game
A 16-year-old Euclid boy, Darien Harris,
was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after
20 years for a fatal shooting following a high school football game.
Harris pleaded guilty on Oct. 20 to murder and felonious assault.
He was 15 when he opened fire on Aug. 30, 2024, near the Euclid Fire Station,
killing 17-year-old Sincere Rowdy and injuring four other teens.
“Darien Harris’s reckless actions took the life of a 17-year-old Sincere Rowdy and injured several others,”
said Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley.
“Gun violence among our youth continues to devastate families and communities.”
Harris was arrested the next day and later indicted by a Cuyahoga County Grand Jury.
