Gorilla Rescues Former Caretaker at Zoo

A man in a wheelchair experienced a terrifying — yet heartwarming — encounter at the zoo.

A former caretaker who had spent years caring for the animals, he continued visiting almost every Saturday after retiring.

That day, while watching the enclosures, a female gorilla suddenly grabbed his wheelchair,

lifting him up and pulling him toward her enclosure. Staff and visitors panicked, shouting for help and a tranquilizer.

But instead of attacking, the gorilla did something unexpected.

She gently hugged him, rocking him softly, as if comforting a child.

Onlookers whispered, “She remembers him.”

After a few moments, she carefully placed him back into his wheelchair and pushed him closer to the fence.

Staff rushed to his side and brought him to safety.

The man didn’t speak, but his expression said it all —

he had been reunited with a gorilla he had once raised and saved many years ago.
