Golden Globe Winner Sally Kirkland Dies at 84
Actress Sally Kirkland has died at 84, just days after entering hospice care in Palm Springs, California, TMZ reported.
She had been diagnosed with dementia last year and was recently treated for
“life-threatening infections” following a fall in the shower, according to a GoFundMe page created by friends.
“She had a fall in the shower… injuring her ribs, foot,
along with cuts and bruises,” the page stated.

Kirkland studied at the Actors Studio and the American Academy of
Dramatic Arts before joining New York’s Off-Broadway scene in the 1960s,
where she also worked with Andy Warhol’s Factory.
Her breakout role in Anna (1987) earned her a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination.
Over six decades, she appeared in more than 200 projects, including JFK, Bruce Almighty, and Roseanne.
