The whistleblower says he objected, calling the plan “unethical and possibly treasonous,”

but others told him “we would not be caught leaking classified information.”

He also claims he was fired after reporting the issue to the FBI.

3. Legal Risks

Former U.S. Attorney Brett Tolman warns that leaking classified information carries steep penalties:

“The fine is up to $250,000 for every leak that’s charged.”

He added that intent could increase punishment “up to 20 years in federal prison.”

4. FBI & Schiff Responses

The whistleblower says FBI leaders took no action.

Schiff has previously denied leaking classified material.
