9 injured, including newborn

A serious crash in Dougherty County early Saturday left eight people injured,

including a newborn, after an EMS ambulance rolled over at the intersection of Pine Avenue and Monroe Street.

The ambulance was carrying three EMS workers and two patients when it was hit in a multi-vehicle collision.

One patient was a newborn, making the incident especially alarming, but officials confirmed that everyone involved is expected to recover.

No life-threatening injuries were reported.

Emergency protocols were activated immediately, and additional units arrived to treat and transport the injured.

Doctors later ran full evaluations to ensure no hidden complications.
