U.S. launches military strikes on Ve
A dramatic overnight operation has reshaped Venezuela’s political crisis after
President Nicolás Maduro was reportedly captured in a secret U.S.
Delta Force mission and taken to the United States.
The Trump administration claims the operation followed months of military
buildup in the Caribbean and targeted what it calls “narco-terrorism.”
Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were flown out of Venezuela under cover of darkness,
shifting the conflict from regional tensions to U.S. courts.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said the pair will
“soon face the full wrath of American justice,
” with charges filed in the Southern District of New York that could mean life sentences.
Supporters describe the arrest as long-awaited accountability,
while critics warn it sets a dangerous precedent for forced regime change.
As reactions range from global condemnation to cautious
relief inside Venezuela, the outcome remains uncertain.
