The latest polls on Trump’s approval are downright
President Trump, ten months into his second term, continues to emphasize confidence
in the economy and foreign policy, but a new CNN/SSRS poll suggests growing public skepticism.
His approval rating has fallen to 37%, down from 47% earlier this year.
Economic anxiety dominates voter concerns. Nearly half of respondents—47%—said the
rising cost of living is the nation’s most urgent issue. While unemployment remains low,
many Americans struggle with housing, groceries, and healthcare.
As a result, 61% believe Trump’s policies have worsened economic conditions,
compared with 27% who say they have improved them.
Foreign policy views are also negative.
The poll found 56% think Trump has damaged America’s global standing,
while only 32% believe he has strengthened it.
Concerns over presidential power are rising as well, with 61% saying he has exceeded his authority.
Though Trump dismissed the survey as unreliable,
the data point to a country increasingly uneasy about the economy, foreign affairs, and executive power.
