White House Shares Controversial Trump Meme
The White House recently posted a meme showing President Donald Trump as Superman, stirring up a lot of online reactions.
The image showed Trump’s face on Superman’s body, wearing the iconic red and blue suit, with the caption: “THE SYMBOL OF HOPE. TRUTH. JUSTICE. THE AMERICAN WAY. SUPERMAN TRUMP.”
This was meant to tie in with the release of a new Superman movie on July 11.
Mixed Reactions and Criticism
The meme quickly drew criticism from Trump’s political opponents. California Democrat Robert Garcia said, “He’s literally Lex Luthor,” comparing Trump to Superman’s villain.
Political analyst Mehdi Hasan added, “Just imagine the response if the Biden White House had posted something like this. But Trump is graded on some kind of never-seen-before curve and this craziness is normalized.”
Supporters Defend the Meme
Not everyone disliked the post. Some supporters praised Trump, calling him a “LEGEND” and “the real Superman.”
One wrote, “Most investigated man in human history… and they found NOTHING.” Another said, “Strong, bold, unstoppable just like the country he’s fighting to restore and protect.”
