After noticing her baby son Edduin often tired and restless, Alicia, a hardworking single mother, installed a baby monitor in his room for peace of mind.
Her husband had tragically passed away in a car accident while she was pregnant, and ever since, Alicia had been balancing parenthood and managing her late husband’s business.
Despite working from home and caring for Edduin full-time, she became increasingly concerned when he began waking up crying and seemed exhausted during the day.
Doctors reassured her that it could be just a phase, but Alicia sensed something was off. One evening, she heard noises from his room and checked, only to find nothing unusual. This continued for several nights until she finally decided to monitor the room with a camera.
What she saw next completely caught her off guard — a small figure moving near the crib, and Edduin smiling.
Terrified, she ran to the room only to discover a weak, scruffy little dog circling the crib. The sight instantly triggered a memory — the dog door from when their old family pet was alive had never been closed. The stray had likely wandered in through it.
Alicia realized that the dog had been playing with Edduin during the night, keeping him from resting properly. Despite the initial scare, Alicia felt compassion for the animal.
