Tom Homan’s Fiery Speech at Turning Point Summit
White House border czar Tom Homan received loud applause at the Turning Point Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida, after responding sharply to a heckler during his speech. When interrupted by someone yelling, “Are you an MS-13 gang member?” Homan challenged the person, saying, “Why don’t you come up here and give me that picture? Bring it.”
The crowd erupted in chants of “USA, USA” as Homan criticized the heckler, calling him a “loser” who “wouldn’t understand what it means to serve this country” and mocking his courage.
Commitment to Deportation Despite Opposition
After the heckler was removed, Homan reassured the audience of ICE’s continued mission, stating, “We’re going to fulfill the task that President Trump assigned to us.” He emphasized the agency’s resolve to carry out deportations despite resistance from political opponents.
Massive Increase in ICE Funding
The Trump Administration plans to expand its deportation efforts significantly thanks to a major funding boost included in the recent spending package, often referred to as the Big Beautiful Bill. ICE’s budget will rise from $2 billion to over $70 billion.
This includes $45 billion for new detention facilities and $30 billion to recruit more immigration agents, greatly enhancing deportation capabilities.
