Trump Shares Controversial AI Video
Donald Trump posted an AI-generated video on Truth Social showing former President Barack Obama being arrested by the FBI. The video, without any disclaimer, was captioned “No one is above the law” and used The Village People’s “Y.M.C.A.” song. It started with real footage from their 2016 meeting before showing fake scenes of Obama in handcuffs and prison.
Political Accusations and Reactions
The video followed Tulsi Gabbard’s claims that Obama-era officials “manufactured intelligence” about Russian election interference. She said she’s giving evidence for criminal referrals, warning, “These actions threaten the very integrity of our democratic republic.” Senator Mark Warner called her claims “an attempt to cook the books.”
Criticism and Concerns
Critics argue Trump’s video distracts from issues like his alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Many called the deepfake “misleading and dangerous.” Legal experts warn such content “can erode public trust and spread disinformation” when shared without context.
No Response from Trump
Despite the backlash, Trump has not removed the video or explained it.
