Ozzy Osbourne’s Passing
Ozzy Osbourne died at 76, “surrounded by love,” his family announced on July 22. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, Ozzy faced worsening health issues before his death. Though the exact cause of death is unknown, his family asked for privacy during this difficult time.

A Final Tribute Concert
Before he passed, Sharon Osbourne fulfilled Ozzy’s wish to return to his hometown for the Back to the Beginning benefit concert. Ozzy joined Black Sabbath to help raise $189 million for charity, alongside bands like Metallica and Guns N’ Roses. Sharon said, “The only place that we could do it would have been Aston, because that’s where Ozzy was born and grew up.” She called it “a celebration of the music.”

Ozzy’s Strength and Emotion
Despite Parkinson’s affecting his legs, Sharon noted, “His voice is as good as it’s ever been.” Ozzy told the audience, “You have no idea how I feel – thank you from the bottom of my heart.” He was “very emotional about this and very happy to be coming back,” Sharon added.

Remembering a Legend
Ozzy’s family, including Sharon and their children, survive him. His hometown soccer team Aston Villa expressed sorrow: “Ozzy always held a special connection to the club and the community he came from.” Tributes have poured in, honoring his legacy as a rock icon and beloved local.
