Hulk Hogan Dies at 71: Wrestling Legend Remembered

A Shocking Loss
Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, died early Thursday at his Clearwater, Florida home after a cardiac arrest, TMZ Sports reported. Emergency crews arrived shortly after sunrise, but he was pronounced dead soon after. His wife Sky had recently denied rumors about his declining health, saying he was “healing like a warrior” following neck surgery.

A Wrestling Icon
Hogan wasn’t just a wrestler — he was the wrestler. With his catchphrases like “Train, say your prayers, eat your vitamins,” he defined 1980s wrestling. His 1984 win over The Iron Sheik birthed “Hulkamania,” and his slam of André the Giant at WrestleMania III became legend.

Hollywood & Reinvention
He shocked fans by turning heel in 1996 to form the New World Order, becoming “Hollywood” Hogan. “It was one of the most brilliant character shifts in wrestling history.” He also starred in Rocky III and family films like Mr. Nanny.

Legacy & Farewell
Despite controversy, Hogan was re-inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020. WWE is planning tributes, including at WrestleMania 42. As one fan wrote: “Though the man is gone, Hulkamania lives forever.”
