‘Squad’ Member Jasmine Crockett’s House
Texas Redistricting Threatens Rep. Crockett’s Seat
A new GOP-backed redistricting plan in Texas could push Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett out of Congress by reshaping her district near Houston.
“I currently don’t live in the [Congressional District] 30 that they created,” she said, accusing Republicans of ignoring input from incumbents. “It is a hot mess, and it is so sad that these people have no integrity.”
Controversial Comments Spark Backlash
Earlier this year, Crockett mocked Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who is paralyzed, by calling him “Gov. Hot Wheels.” The remark drew swift criticism.
Calls for Censure
Rep. Randy Weber filed a resolution to censure Crockett: “She must be censured and held accountable for the venomous rhetoric she spews.”
Conservative Reactions
Fox’s Trey Gowdy said, “If Jasmine Crockett is a thought leader of the party, Democrats will stay in the wilderness longer than Moses did,” criticizing her inflammatory remarks and public behavior.
