Milwaukee Mourns Officer Kendall Corder
Milwaukee said goodbye to Officer Kendall Corder, 32, who d**d June 29 after being ambushed while responding to a call. “His bravery and dedication to serve Milwaukee was noble and shall never be forgotten,” the department said.
The Ambush
Corder and Officer Christopher McCray answered a report of a person with a w**pon on June 26. As they exited their squad car, they were “immediately and unexpectedly fired upon.” McCray survived with injuries, but Corder’s wounds proved fatal.

Tributes and Grief
A procession honored the fallen officer as the Milwaukee Police Association said: “That night, Officer Corder and his partner did what officers across our city do every day: he stepped up to protect the community despite the enormous risks.”
Suspect and Legacy
Police a**ested 22-year-old Tremaine Jones, now in custody. “MPD is forever grateful for Officer Corder’s courage in the line of duty.”
