A boy with autism transformed his passion for ships into a 26-foot LEGO masterpiece
A Young Builder’s Dream
At just 10 years old, Brynjar Karl Bigisson from Iceland set out to build a Lego replica of the Titanic. Obsessed with ships, he researched the vessel and became determined to break records with his model.
Autism and Lego
Brynjar credits Lego for giving him focus and joy. He explained: “Because of my poor social and communication skills, I was always on my own, playing by myself, so LEGO bricks became my best friends.”

Family Support
The model measured over 7 meters long. Brynjar admitted, “Obviously, I was not going to build the 26-feet-long model all by myself.” His grandfather created building instructions from real blueprints, while his mother helped raise money for the Legos.

A Life Lesson
After 11 months of work, the Titanic replica was complete. Brynjar shared: “We know that if you are allowed to develop your skills through your interest, you can become stronger.”
