Coach Goes Viral Online For This One Act Of Kindness During Kids

Teachers’ Dedication
Teachers are vital to society but often underpaid.

They spend their lives mentoring and guiding students, showing kindness beyond academics.

A Coach’s Kind Act
Jonathan Oliver, a physical education teacher in Valdosta, Georgia, was honored for helping a kindergartener during a basketball game.

When Kristen Paulk needed help tying her hair, Oliver “bent down to little Kristen’s level” and helped her, unaware he was being filmed.

Viral Moment
The video, titled “When your job goes beyond teaching!” was shared by a fellow teacher and quickly went viral.

Oliver said, “It was shocking to me that it got that much attention because we all do it.” He added, “We try to love on them as much as possible. To me, it was just a ponytail.”

Parents’ Praise
Kristen’s mother, Miyah Cleckley, praised Oliver, saying, “I always know that Kristen is in very good hands with him.” She shared that Oliver often helps with hair since they have five daughters.
