When The Baby Is Born With Snow-White Hair,
A Unique Birth
Bence was born in Székesfehérvár, Hungary, with thick, snow-white hair—a rare sight for a newborn.
“Some babies are born with no hair. Some are born with lots of hair, but Bence, the little winter king was born with all white hair.” This unusual look surprised his parents.
White Hair and Meaning
White hair usually appears with age or stress. As one family member said, “do you think I got these white hairs because I had no problems?” Bence’s hair made it seem like he carried “all that experience before he went through it.”
Health Concerns
His parents feared albinism, a condition affecting pigment production. Albinism “is not life-threatening, although people with it are more sensitive to light and increases their risk of developing skin cancer.” After tests, doctors found Bence didn’t have albinism but just very little melanin.
Looking Ahead
Bence was born healthy and on time. His hair will gradually darken as he grows, “something like Benjamin Button!”
