Cracker Barrel’s recent logo redesign sparked a heated debate online.
The chain said in a statement, “Our values haven’t changed.
The heart and soul of Cracker Barrel haven’t changed.”
The new logo, part of a $700 million rebrand, is described as “rooted even more closely to the iconic barrel shape and wordmark that started it all.”
However, critics called the move “woke.” Rep. Byron Donalds posted, “No one asked for this woke rebrand.
It’s time to Make Cracker Barrel Great Again.”
Despite backlash, the company reassured fans: “Uncle Herschel remains front and center in our restaurants and on our menu.”
Others mocked the outrage, including California Gov. Newsom’s office, joking: “WHAT IS WRONG WITH CRACKER BARREL?? KEEP YOUR BEAUTIFUL LOGO!!!”
Cracker Barrel says the update is designed to work across digital platforms and billboards while staying true to its heritage.
